Fresno Police took a proactive approach to criminal defense and DUI offenders this weekend.  15 vehicles were impounded for those either cited for DUI or other offenses.  It is interesting that the article doesn't mention the number of people actually cited for DUI or drunk driving during the checkpoint.  A second interesting fact is that in light of the recent news of Fresno Police Department's second in charge, Officer Foster, being arrested as part of an investigation into heroin, oxycontin, and marijuana distribution charges, the Fresno Police Department did not put him on their page, by name, as they have done to many others in an effort to publicly shame the arrested, and trumpet their work.  The results of the checkpoint were not broken down into category, or names given to the Bee of those arrested.
