Probation Officer involved accident:

When being a victim of a DUI accident can turn into a bigger nightmare?  When the alleged drunk driver turns out to be a law enforcement officer and tries to blame you for causing he accident.  This is what allegedly occurred in February when a Contra Costa Probation Officer in a work vehicle with CA Exempt license plates struck another vehicle with his work vehicle while apparently under the influence of alcohol.  The Officer's BAC was determined to be .14.  Apparently, following the accident the officer exited his vehicle an used his authority to bully the victim and accuse him of drinking alcohol.  

I would like to see the percentage of DUI arrests that do and do not involve accidents for non-officers and compare the number or ration of DUI arrests for officers that do and do not involve accidents.  I suspect that non-accident officer DUI arrests are a lower percentage of Officer DUI arrests compared to Non-Officer DUI arrests, but I have not seen any data to support that conclusion.
