two Reedley men were arrested in early 2015 for a violent assault.  The assault allegedly took place as the young Reedley man was walking home from the store, where he encountered two men, in their 20's, who he was familiar with.  They used pieces of wood to assault the man, who was later treated at the hospital.  

The police gained a description of the men and arrested them a short time later.  At least one was on probation at the time of the assault.  This wasn't a late-night incident, but instead a brazen mid-morning attack around 10:00 a.m. when citizens usually feel safe walking about the small city.
